How have bodily movements in apple production changed throughout history due to technical, chemical and economic innovation?
After several site visits to the area of South Tirol, Nico Angiuli present FUTURA, a collective performance on the supply chain of the apple. Together with actors, farmers and interested people from Terlano and its surroundings, the apple supply chain – from hybridising, thinning, harvesting, calibrating and selecting to marketing, buying and eating – it has been enacted performatively. FUTURA is part of The Tools’ Dance, a research project (from 2010) that explores the movements of agricultural work through performance.
